Eagle

2004

A bald eagle head I doodled. It's pretty obvious I did it without a reference. It's also kind of fun how I apparently just adapted the regular muscles of a mammal to the head & neck of a bird. It's like all those examples in museums of works artists did just by verbal description of things from travelers: these weird combinations of things common to the artist's experience applied to something they'd never seen.

Fish sketch

2012

A little sketch of a fish I did in a friend's kitchen in Kansas City. If memory serves, this was perhaps shortly after a dive trip; maybe even my first dive trip to Cozumel, Mexico.

TV rabbit

4 June 2013

A sketch of a rabbit who watches too much TV. I recall taking the picture lit in such a way as to seem like it's from the glow of a TV screen.

Narcosis Brewery logo

~Aug 2013

This was a request from some dive friends to design a logo for their small brewery. I no longer own the original of this work, so this is the only image I have.

This image was a gift.
